IICQI-18 will be held in Tehran, on September 2018. Tehran is the capital of Iran. You can directly fly to Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) and take the metro or a taxi to the city.

You will need a valid visa to attend the conference. According to the new regulations by the Iranian laws, tourist visa is issued in the airports of Tehran for maximum of 15 days for citizens of all countries except those from USA, Canada, and the UK. It is strongly recommended that you first check with your airlines to make sure that you are allowed to board without having a visa stamped on your passport. If you may need a visa before landing, please let us know well (two months) in advance. The organizing committee will make its best to assist you in your entry visa application, and will give you a reference number issued by the ministry of foreign affairs which will facilitate the airport visa.

Transportation from the airport

For transportation from the airport to the city, you can go to the Seriosafar taxi service booth at the airport (see the picture below) and get a taxi for the city. It would cost ~850,000 IRR (you can pay ~10$ or ~10 Euro to the cap driver). The reception at the booth speaks English. You can give them the address of your accommodation and they will direct you to your taxi.

Find the taxi service booth after you exit the baggage area (See the picture of the booth below) and ask for a taxi.

For other transportation option, see the information here:
How to get to Tehran from Imam Khomeini International Airport

Currency Exchange

You can exchange at the airport or at any other currency exchange in the city. For more information, ask one of the conference staff at the registration desk.

The conference will provide accommodation for all invited speakers in the IPM guesthouse free of charge. This has been stated in the invitation letters. Otherwise you will need accommodation for your stay in Tehran which you are kindly requested to arrange well before your departure. Moreover if you are planning to extend your visits to Tehran (beyond 3 days before the start or 3 days after the end of the conference dates), you are kindly requested to arrange for your own accommodation.

Also if you are planning to visit other cities of Iran (e.g. Shiraz, Isfahan, or Yazd), please do arrange your accommodation well in advance, since the hotels in these cities will be fully booked in high seasons.
