Markovian and non-Markovian Open Quantum Systems

An introduction will be given of the main features of the reduced dissipative and noisy dynamics of quantum systems in weak interaction with their environments. In particular, the physical meaning of complete positivity will be discussed in relation to quantum entanglement, both with and without memory effects in the time-evolution.
