On superdense coding with noisy channels

Abstract: 

We study the capacity of a superdense coding protocol in the case of noisy channels. We consider the depolarizing channel as well as the general Pauli channel for systems with a qubit on Alice's side. For the case of one sender and one receiver we obtain the optimal capacity if unitary encoding is used. Further studies will include general encoding, other noise models, bipartite states of higher dimensions, and multipartite scenarios.
